1. How can I make a reservation with you?
  • You can make your reservation online through www.mymoto.gr. Through the website, you can ensure availability and the best price.
  • You can also call us, send us and email or fill out our contact form
  • If you are close by, you can come visit us. We will be glad to serve you directly in our physical stores.
2. Which payment methods do you accept?

For booking through Mymoto you can pay in 2 different ways: 

  • Without advance payment, with cash payment on delivery of the vehicle
  • Prepaying the total reservation amount online via your card ensures a discount!

3. What documents are required to rent from you?

Only a valid driver’s license is required depending on the type of vehicle you choose. You can view the full list of requirements depending on the vehicle here

4. Do I need a card to rent from you?

No card is required as you can pay with cash, and in addition, we do not hold a guarantee for the scooter rental.

5. Do you hold a guarantee for the scooter rental?

No, all that is required is the payment of the rental amount. In case of damage during the rental period, you will be charged according to the terms of the insurance you have chosen.

6. Is it safe to book with Mymoto?

Mymoto respects privacy and does not sell or divulge any information about its customers. In case you choose to pay online, we do not store any credit card information on our website. All credit card payments are processed in the background through a third-party legitimate bank institution and secured through SSL and 3D technology. Your credit card data will stay strictly confidential.

7. What is covered by the insurance?

The insurance which is already included in the rental price covers third-party damages. Additionally, it also includes road assistance inside a specific radius outside the shop. The customer is obliged to pay for damages on the scooter or theft caused during the rental period. All the accessories (helmets, top case, etc.) are not covered by the insurance and are paid apart in case of loss or damage.

8. What if the rental vehicle is stolen?

Well, first of all, if you listen carefully to the instructions on how you can best lock the rental vehicle, the chance of theft is minimal (less than 1 in every 10 years). However, when disaster strikes, we have to charge you for the cost of damage based on your insurance choice.

9. Do you have a delivery service?

Yes, we do. We deliver our vehicles to the major part of Corfu island. You could choose from a great variety of pick-up areas during the online booking process and we will bring your scooter to the location which fits you the best.

10. Can I drive without a helmet?

No. It is absolutely prohibited to drive a scooter without a helmet on. Both the driver and the passenger must wear a helmet even if it is on a 50cc scooter.

11. Can I cancel my reservation?
  • In the case of prepayment by card with a discount, cancellation of the reservation is not refundable. 
  • In the case of cancellation at least one week before the rental date, we will refund 50 percent of the cost of your reservation in a voucher valid for booking on our website within one year from the date of issue.
  • In the event of payment on delivery of the scooter, you will not be charged any cancellation fees
  • In any case, it is important that you inform us as soon as possible of any cancellation of your booking.

12. Can I change my booking?

You can modify your reservation regarding the type, dates, and hours of rental based on availability after contacting us. There is no change fee. The only thing you pay is the difference with the previous booking (if applicable). Check our Policy.

13. I made damage or had an accident. What should I do?

I hope you’re ok and you didn’t hurt yourself. During our opening times, it is always best to immediately contact us so we can advise you what to do. If we are closed and the phone is not answered you can contact us via WhatsApp or via our email.

14. Is it possible to purchase extra insurance?

Yes. You can purchase extra insurance that reduces the excess. It will reduce the liability rate from the purchase value of the machine to a much lower rate, depending on the type of machine which can be found by the customer in the booking process.

15. Do I get my money back if I come back earlier?

Unfortunately, no. Once you have received your scooter which is paid for, the amount paid will not be refunded. We do not make money refunds if the renter returns the scooter (or/and extras) before the date and time mentioned in the contract.

18. Can I come to the rental office and rent on the spot?

You are welcome to visit our rental offices, but availability can not be guaranteed on the spot. Rental prices on the spot are usually  higher than the prices advertised online. We recommend you make your booking online well in advance to ensure availability and the best price.

20. Is it possible to drive around the island of Corfu with a 50cc scooter?

Yes, it is possible to drive around the island of Corfu with a 50cc scooter. Corfu is a relatively small island with a total area of approximately 585 square kilometers, and a 50cc scooter can easily cover the island’s roads. However, it is important to note that some roads in Corfu can be steep and winding, so it is essential to have good driving skills and be cautious on the roads. Additionally, wearing a helmet is required by law in Greece, and it is recommended to always wear one for safety. Due to the fact that in some parts of the island, the roads are quite steep, there are some minor restrictions on the places you can visit with a 50cc. 21. Do I need previous driving experience to rent from you?

Yes, it is required that you have a satisfactory level of knowledge of scooter/wagon handling. In any case, at the time of delivery if our agent sees that you do not have sufficient experience he has the right to stop the process, first of all for your own safety.

23. I am 18-21. Can I rent a scooter from you?

Yes! As long as you are an adult you can if you have the appropriate type of license. It is possible if you are between 18 and 21 to rent a scooter from us.

24. What is your policy on fuel?

The renter must return the scooter with the fuel tank filled at the same level as it was at the time of the rental. Otherwise, you will be charged with the cost of the fuel.

If you don’t want to be stressed about filling up your scooter before returning it, you can choose the ”full to empty” service at the time of booking. This way you will pick up the vehicle with a full tank and can return it at any fuel level, even empty.

25. Can I pick up my vehicle from the airport after my arrival at Corfu airport?

Yes, by selecting the airport terminal as the delivery location, our representative will be waiting for you at the scooter parking lot located only 100 meters from the terminal to sign the rental contract and deliver the scooter to you after your flight arrival. We also have an office in the airport area.

26. Can I pick up my vehicle at my hotel/Airbnb?

Yes, by selecting from the list of delivery locations the closest area to your hotel during the booking process, after completion we will contact you to arrange the exact delivery point.

27. In what cases am I not covered by insurance?

No insurance coverage applies:
– For whatever happened and found that the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
– For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads.
– For damages caused to the bottom of the motorcycle, the tires, and the rims.
– For accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract.
– For accidents for which the lessee has not updated MyMoto company and submitted an accident report, as defined by the Greek Legislation, regardless of fault.

28. What type of license is required to drive a scooter/atv in Corfu?

29. What is the weather like in Corfu?

Corfu is a Greek island located in the Ionian Sea, and its weather varies throughout the year.

 

Winter in Corfu typically lasts from December to February, and during this time, temperatures average around 10-15°C (50-59°F). It can be quite rainy, with January and February being the wettest months. Snowfall is rare but can occur in the mountainous areas of the island. 

 

The summer season in Corfu typically lasts from June to August. During this time, the weather is generally warm and sunny with average daytime temperatures ranging from 27-30°C (81-86°F).

30. May I drive bike rentals outside Corfu?

The renter is not allowed to take the vehicle outside the island of Corfu.

31. I have made a reservation and I don't have the right type of diploma. What happens?

You can find all the information about the license requirements on our website and contact us for confirmation. Even in the case of an error, we are at your disposal to see how we can modify the vehicle type so that you can be licensed to drive it. In the event of cancellation, the terms of your reservation will apply.

32. Is there a mileage limit for my rental?

Mymoto offers rates including unlimited mileage, which means that you can drive as much as you want.

33. I have forgotten my driving license, can I hire the vehicle?

The driving license is mandatory for renting a vehicle and must be presented at pick-up time.

34. Can I register a second driver?

An additional driver is authorized to drive the vehicle. They need to be expressly mentioned and identified on the rental agreement. You can add a second driver during the booking process.

35. What do I need to do in the event of loss of keys?

In the event of the loss of vehicle keys, you will need to contact us. According to where you are, it could take between 1 and 4 hours for you to receive the new keys. Additional service charges will apply, as the loss of keys is not covered by our insurance and protections.

36. What happens in case of traffic violations and fines?

All fines and administrative penalties shall be borne by the renter.

37. What is included in the price?

Your Mymoto rental quote takes into account all mandatory charges corresponding to your reservation criteria. This quote generally includes the following items:
– Value Added Tax (VAT) or any other local tax
– Unlimited Mileage.
– Third-party liability insurance
– Road trip assistance

We offer total support during your scooter rental.

You can add extra services and equipment during the online booking process for an additional charge. Such services and equipment are:

  • Smartphone holder
  • Extra insurance
  • Second driver
  • Insurance for 18-21 year old
  • Full to empty fuel tank
38. What is the policy on helmets?

With every rental scooter, atv or quad, we provide our clients with free certified helmets. Of course, feel free to bring your own equipment!

39. I want to extend my booking, what do I need to do?

If you decide that you want to keep the vehicle longer than what is stated in the contract, you should contact us as soon as possible to check availability and inform you of the cost. In any case, we will do everything possible to serve you even with a replacement vehicle in case yours is not available.

40. I want to delay the return of my vehicle by a few hours. What should I do?

The sooner you let us know, the more likely we can help you. Usually, in high season, the vehicle has a minimum of time after return to be prepared and delivered to the next customer. In case the vehicle is available we can offer you 1 hour after the return time stated on the contract without charge. For late returns between 1 and 3 hours, we will charge 30 percent of the daily rate applicable. After 3 hours you will pay 100 percent of the daily fee.
